I'm Valerie, an artist at heart who believes in bringing your story to life with romantic, intimate, and refined imagery that will stand the test of time.

I see the big picture and the finer details with intentional perspective and an editorial eye, capturing your special day in its entirety including all of the genuine moments in between.

More than that, I find purpose in providing a genuine experience. Your wedding should feel rooted in the present moment, a significant point in time where you can revel in every palpable moment and detail. The years that I’ve spent documenting weddings have taught me how important this is.

About Me

I’ve always been inspired by stories. With a background in fine arts including art history, film, and literature, I’ve come to adore all forms of storytelling. I’m a first generation dual citizen raised in a family of European art enthusiasts and antique collectors who believed in bringing people together through the arts and culture.

Things I love: impressionist art, travel, museums, black and white movies, antiques, old books, sailboats the sea, candlelight al fresco dinners with loved ones, all things French, historical castles, a crisp glass of champagne. An old soul in a modern world.

With a thirst for exploration, I’ve spent a lot of my life traveling and working around the world. When I planned my own destination nuptials in 2013, I immediately connected with the wedding industry and knew how I wanted to bring my experience with art to life. I’ve been documenting love stories ever since.

Approach

It is my hope to contribute to an experience that invites ease--to style, document and curate photographs that exude sincerity. I believe in helping you create a wedding experience that honors the life you’ve built together and the legacy you hope to create.

Artistic Perspective. I see the big picture and the finer details with intentional perspective and an editorial eye, capturing your special day in its entirety including all of the genuine, candid moments in between. You can expect romantic, refined imagery that will stand the test of time along with a full capture of your authentic, candid experience. Every photograph will convey a humanist, fine art feel.

Intention. I want my couples to feel at ease during their experience. I work with intention and believe in providing my couples with direction when needed, utilizing the best possible light in any situation, documenting the emotions of the spontaneous moments, and artfully capturing all of those thoughtful details. I want my couples to be in the moment with each other. Embrace, enjoy, and relish in your time together; I'll be sure those moments are recorded.

Experience-making. Taking extra care with the details of your experience. I will do everything in my power to help you feel a grounding connection to the present moment. I want you to be able to completely feel and appreciate the gravity of what’s taking place. More than just documenting your wedding day, I aim to be a guiding presence who creates opportunities for intention and joy. I love focusing on my couples as well as capturing the genuine emotions of family, friends, and guests.
